# Funnels

> Analyze multi-step conversion flows in Klaritics, identify drop-off points, segment by user properties, and pin results to dashboards with alerts.

Funnels in Klaritics let you measure how users move through a sequence of events, such as sign-up to activation to purchase. You define the steps, and Klaritics calculates the conversion rate between each one so you can spot where users leave and how to improve the flow.

## When to use Funnels

Use Funnels when you need to:

* Measure conversion across a product flow
* Find the step with the highest drop-off
* Compare conversion rates across user segments

## Build a funnel

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add funnel steps">
    Define the ordered events that represent your flow. The first event is the entry point, and each following event must occur after the previous one within your chosen time window.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the conversion window">
    Choose how long a user has to complete the full sequence. Common choices are one day, seven days, or thirty days.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Apply filters and breakdowns">
    Filter to a specific audience, or break the funnel down by a user property to compare segments side by side.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review drop-off">
    Inspect the step-by-step conversion rates. Klaritics highlights the largest drop-off so you know where to focus.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Save and share

Save the funnel once it is configured. Pin it to a dashboard as a widget so stakeholders can monitor conversion over time. You can also set alerts on the widget to be notified when conversion at any step changes significantly.

<Tip>
  Combine funnels with [Cohorts](/analysis/cohorts) to compare how different user groups convert through the same flow.
