# Manage Charts

> View, edit, share, duplicate, and delete saved charts in Klaritics. Which actions appear depends on your effective chart permission.

Each chart in the listing shows the actions your **effective chart permission** allows.

| Effective permission | Available actions |
| :- | :- |
| **Full Access** | View, Edit, Share, Duplicate, Delete |
| **Editor** | View, Edit, Share |
| **Viewer** | View |

## Create

Only a user with **Full Access** for charts can create one. Viewer cannot create charts, and Editor works with existing charts rather than creating new ones.

A newly created chart is **Private** by default, and the creator is assigned ownership.

## View

You can view chart data and the visualization based on your access, and view the chart configuration in read-only mode. You cannot modify the chart.

## Edit

Editing lets you change:

* Chart title
* Chart description
* Chart configuration
* Filters
* Dimensions and measures
* Visualization settings

The exact editable properties follow the chart's own creation and edit behavior.

  Editing a dashboard does not grant permission to edit the charts on it. Chart edit rights come only from your chart permission.

## Share

A chart can be shared as Private, Restricted, or Project-wide. Two ceilings always apply: you cannot grant more than your own effective permission, and the recipient cannot receive more than their project-level permission.

## Duplicate

Only a user with Full Access can duplicate a chart. The duplicate:

* Receives a new chart ID
* Is owned by the duplicating user
* Is **Private** by default
* Does **not** inherit the original chart's sharing permissions

## Delete

Deleting requires confirmation. On confirmation, the chart is removed from the project.
