# Invite and Manage Users in Klaritics

> Invite team members to Klaritics, assign roles, and deactivate accounts when someone leaves. Keep your team list accurate and secure.

You control who can access your Klaritics workspace through the Users page. From there you can invite new team members, assign roles that match their responsibilities, and deactivate accounts when they are no longer needed.

## Invite a user

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Users">
    Navigate to **User Management > Users** in the main navigation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send an invitation">
    Click **Invite User** and enter the person's email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign a role">
    Select a role that defines what they can access. If you are unsure, start with a more restrictive role and expand access later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Click **Send Invite**. The user receives an email with a link to join your workspace.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Manage existing users

After a user accepts an invitation, you can update their role or deactivate their account at any time.

* **Change role**: Open the user record and select a new role. The change applies immediately.
* **Deactivate**: Deactivating removes access but preserves the user's historical activity and any dashboards they created. You can reactivate the account later if needed.

<Warning>
  Deactivating your own account is not allowed. Ask another admin to do it for you.
</Warning>

## Best practices

* Review the user list monthly to remove deactivated or unused accounts.
* Assign the least permissive role that still lets someone do their job.
* Keep at least two admins on the workspace so you are never locked out.
