Alerts in Klaritics let you monitor the widgets on your dashboards and get notified when something needs attention. You can set trigger conditions based on metric thresholds or relative changes, so your team responds quickly to shifts in product behavior.

How alerts work

Alerts are attached to individual widgets within a dashboard. When the widget’s data meets the condition you define, Klaritics sends a notification to the configured recipients. You can set conditions such as:
  • A metric crosses above or below a fixed threshold.
  • A metric changes by more than a percentage compared to a previous period.
  • A count drops to zero or spikes unexpectedly.

Setting up an alert

1

Open a dashboard

Navigate to the dashboard that contains the widget you want to monitor. See Dashboards Overview for details.
2

Select the widget

Click the widget you want to alert on. Alerts are configured per widget.
3

Define the condition

Choose the metric, comparison operator, and threshold. You can also set a lookback window for relative comparisons.
4

Choose recipients

Specify who should receive the alert when the condition is met.
5

Save and test

Save the alert. Use a manual test if available to confirm the notification path works.

Best practices

  • Alert on actionable metrics. Choose widgets where a change genuinely requires a response.
  • Use thresholds carefully. Too many alerts lead to fatigue. Start with critical metrics only.
  • Review alert history. Check past triggers to tune thresholds and reduce noise.
