The Feature Engagement dashboard shows how users interact with specific features in your product. In plain terms:
Which features are users actually using?
It analyzes two things:
  • Feature adoption — which users are engaging with a feature
  • Feature frequency — how often a feature is used
Use it to identify popular features and to improve or remove unused ones.

Before a feature is defined

When no features are defined, the dashboard shows an empty state prompting you to create features by selecting events. All dashboard actions remain disabled until at least one feature is configured. You can start feature creation from either the Select Event button or the Configurations button. Both redirect to the Product Analytics Configurations page and land you on the Feature Engagement creation page.

Create a feature

The Select Event button opens the Feature Creation modal, where you define a feature from one or more events. Actions available in the modal are Save Changes and Discard Changes.
Features can also be created directly from the Configurations page using the Create Feature button, which opens the same modal.

After creation

You can create multiple features. All created features are listed on the Feature Engagement creation page, and each supports Edit and Delete. Once at least one feature exists, the dashboard becomes active and its visualizations and interactions are enabled.

Metrics

Three KPI metric cards are available. Unique Users is selected by default, showing the line visualization.

Unique Users

The number of distinct users who triggered the selected feature event. Counts unique Distinct IDs, based on the selected date range and filters.

Adoption (% of Active Users)

The percentage of active users engaging with the feature. Indicates feature reach.

Frequency (Avg Events per User)

The average number of times users use the feature. Indicates depth of engagement.
