The Product Overview dashboard is a high-level summary of product performance. In plain terms, it answers:
How is my product doing overall?
It covers active users, new users, session duration, retention, and trends over time — useful for a quick daily check of product health by product managers and leadership.

KPI metric cards

Three cards display the high-level metrics.

Trend chart

The trend chart visualizes how the selected key metric evolves over time. It updates dynamically based on which KPI card is selected; Overall Active Users is selected by default.

Configuration

Active user definition

Which event best represents a user actively engaging with your product?
Select an event using the event selector, with event filter support. This defines what counts as an active user, and is used in Overall Active Users and Weekly Active Users.

New user definition

What event represents a new user action on your Product?
Select an event, with optional filter support. Default value is New User - Day 0. This defines how new users are identified, and is used in Overall New Users and retention calculations.

Retention interval

What is the retention interval you are interested in?
A start and end event section lets you choose the events. Default selection: Day 7, Week 1. The selected intervals determine which retention metrics appear on the dashboard.

Breakdown

How do you want to break down the Product Overview Dashboard?
A multi-select dropdown defines the default breakdown dimensions, applied to all charts in the dashboard.

Default segment

Apply a default segment
A segment selector, defaulting to All Users. The chosen segment applies across dashboards, and all analytics queries use it unless changed.

Saving

Save stores all configuration changes and updates the dashboard immediately.
At least one event must be selected for both the active user and new user definitions before the configuration can be saved.
Discard Changes reverts all unsaved changes.
